The California Air Resource Board (CARB) will be presenting outlined regulations to their Board in October surrounding the Advanced Clean Fleet Program. With this important matter impacting thousands of trucks in our region and 100’s of businesses we ask that you join in the conversation. Our Public Policy and Transportation and Infrastructure Committees have been meeting to assess what recommendations or response would be made by the South County EDC on behalf of our local industry. Last week the two committees met together and received presentations from representatives of CARB and Alejandra Mier y Teran from the Otay Mesa Chamber of Commerce. The two committees will again meet jointly on Thursday June 16th at 3PM.
We encourage you to join the committee meeting to gain insight into timing and roll-out of these proposed guidelines.Our committees help shape the voice of our organization on behalf of those we serve and welcome input from all invested in the SCEDC.
