Child Development Associates (CDA) is a community based, non-profit agency dedicated to creating positive change in our community. We believe that all families deserve access to support services that will promote their children’s healthy development and future success.
Our Mission: To encourage and support the success and well- being of children, families, and the child care community.
Our Programs:
- Alternative Payment Program- Helping families afford child care.
CDA’s Alternative Payment Program is the 4th largest subsidized child care program in California. It provides families with affordable and reliable child care services allowing them to work, look for work, or go to school. As a parental choice program, eligible families get to choose the type of care that best meets their family’s needs. We serve over 4,700 families and collaborate with over 2,300 child care providers.
- Nutrition Program- Helping child care provider serve healthy meals.
CDA’s Nutrition Program is the largest sponsor of the Federal USDA Child Care Food Program in California. This program reimburses child care providers for the nutritious meals they serve to the children in their care. We collaborate with over 1,150 family child care providers who served over 5 million meals to children annually, enabling them to grow up healthy and develop nutritious eating habits for life.
