SCEDC Young Entrepreneurs Academy

The Young Entrepreneur Academy is an innovative program that provides young people with the tools and resources they need to start and run their own businesses. The program is designed to inspire and empower the next generation of entrepreneurs by teaching them valuable skills such as marketing, finance, and leadership.  

South County EDC is a non-profit business organization that partners with California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC)  to offer support to the manufacturing companies in South San Diego County.  

Zero Cost Assistance program

The South County Economic Development Council is offering valuable assistance to local manufacturers by providing access to various resources at no cost. These resources include wage subsidies, workforce development programs, operational assistance, and more.

The Port of San Diego and the City of Chula Vista have successfully secured $275 million in public bond funding for construction on the Chula Vista Bayfront, enabling the flagship Gaylord Pacific Resort and Convention Center project to break ground. On June 1, 2022 South County Economic Development Council hosted a Binational Forum at Southwestern College Performing Arts Center. The event hosted a variety of public officials, civic, business and community leaders to discuss hot topics of Binational Economy, Trade, Mobility and  Border.  In the end many opportunities were unfolded and connections made!  Thank you to all our sponsors and people who attended this amazing event!
