The Imperial Beach Pier, a regional attraction and widely recognized landmark for the City of Imperial Beach and Port of San Diego, will undergo maintenance work starting Monday, November 18, 2024. The Port is replacing two pilings to maintain the structural integrity of Imperial Beach’s beloved pier, ensuring it can be enjoyed by visitors and the community for generations to come. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) announced the Biden Administration has awarded San Diego International Airport (SAN) $12.1 million in discretionary grant funds as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law – Airport Terminal Program (ATP). The grant will be used to fund Phase 1B construction of the New Terminal 1 (New T1) that includes the installation of two passenger boarding bridges, pilings, foundation concrete, flooring, roofing, and structural steel.
