Community leaders met with Tijuana Mayor-Elect Ismael Burgueno to explore important initiatives for cross-border development, thanks to Chairwoman Nora Vargas.
This event served as an excellent platform for fostering collaboration and discussing key initiatives for cross-border development. Given the vital importance of cooperation between our shared communities and economies, it was a valuable opportunity to bring together regional leadership and Tijuana’s newly elected mayor.
The discussions highlighted the significance of collaboration between San Diego and Tijuana, especially in areas such as infrastructure, public safety, and economic development. The South County EDC remains dedicated to enhancing dialogue among businesses, governments, and community organizations to promote sustainable growth and improve the quality of life for residents throughout our binational region.
