The Young Entrepreneur Academy is an innovative program that provides High School Students with the tools and resources they need to start and run their own businesses. 

Class Schedule
From January 15th – June 4th, 2025, every Wednesday school is in session, from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM

South County EDC is a non-profit business organization that partners with California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC)  to offer support to the manufacturing companies in South San Diego County.  

Zero Cost Assistance program

The South County Economic Development Council is offering valuable assistance to local manufacturers by providing access to various resources at no cost. These resources include wage subsidies, workforce development programs, operational assistance, and more.

The City’s Development Services Department is proud to announce that we are launching our digital permitting process effective Friday, December 13th. Information regarding requirements to submit digitally can be found here: Online/Electronic Permit Services | City of Chula Vista. In order to launch this effort, DSD will be closing our counter at 3pm on Thursday, December 12th. We will be open at our usual time at 8am on Friday, December 13th. Any permits currently in

On December 10, 2024, Porter Airlines celebrated the departure of its first nonstop flight from San Diego International Airport (SAN) to Toronto-Pearson International Airport (YYZ) during an inaugural celebration. Porter Airlines is the 18th airline to offer service from SAN. This inaugural flight marks the beginning of four-weekly nonstop flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and further expands service from San Diego to Toronto and other Canadian destinations. Passengers can also enjoy seamless connections
