U.S. Representatives Juan Vargas (CA-52) and Bill Huizenga (MI-04), members of the House Financial Services Committee, announced the passage of their legislation to update the requirements for federal credit union board meetings in the House of Representatives. The City Council took the first step toward adopting a plastics reduction ordinance at its Feb. 4 meeting, approving the first reading of the proposed regulations. The ordinance, which will return for final adoption on Feb. 18, aims to reduce single-use plastics. If adopted, the new rules will take effect 180 days later. The City is planning community outreach efforts and a Project Coronado page to provide information and resources for residents and businesses. More
