We are excited to announce the return of our popular South County EDC Candidates Forum web series, where businesses and community leaders will have a unique opportunity to hear from and interact with those seeking to represent our communities through elected office.

The South County Economic Development Council’s Binational Forum is slated to be one of the premier business gatherings in our binational community. The event aims to bring together civic, business, and community leaders for a day of collaboration, networking, and knowledge exchange.

Economic Summit 2024 Recap

Thank you to all who attended this year’s Economic Summit hosted by the South County Economic Development Council, which took place on April 26th at the Balboa Park Club.

South County EDC is a non-profit business organization that partners with California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC)  to offer support to the manufacturing companies in South San Diego County.  

Zero Cost Assistance program

The South County Economic Development Council is offering valuable assistance to local manufacturers by providing access to various resources at no cost. These resources include wage subsidies, workforce development programs, operational assistance, and more.  

SCEDC Young Entrepreneurs Academy

The Young Entrepreneur Academy is an innovative program that provides young people with the tools and resources they need to start and run their own businesses.

There was lots on the agenda which included the upcoming Economic Summit 2023, Annual Award Nominations, welcoming new members, new business outreach schedule and SCEDC Committee updates. The Imperial Beach Pier is being spruced up in a $2 million project that builds on improvements made to the pier last year in a joint venture by the Port of San Diego and the City of Imperial Beach.
