As we prepare to spring forward it is with great optimism that we look to the near future as a time of growth and revitalization. For the past year we have all worked diligently to ensure our neighbors, communities, and families have remained safe and healthy. This hard work is starting to pay off with decreasing infection numbers, increasing vaccination opportunities, and slow but steady re-opening of our economy. The road ahead is paved with possibilities and will require all of us to continue to remain committed and focused on what we want to be on the other side of this.
Many of the businesses I have spoken with have shared outstanding stories of community and resiliency. To show what South County is all about and how as a community we continue to reinvent and reimagine our future we are putting together a series called We Are South County. There will be fifteen minutes interviews with local business leaders discussing why they do business here, how the community has shaped them, how they invest in our region, and so much more. I encourage you to share your stories with us at SCEDC@southcountyedc.com.
We have begun outreach to business and are in the early stages of producing the first pieces for this effort. If you know of a business here in South County who has an amazing story of why they started here, how they grew here, or because you think they embody South County please let us know. We have so many stories to tell and look forward to this effort of showcasing for all of you what you already know, South County is the place to be.
Creating careers and lives for the residents of South County is at the very core of our work. The South County EDC works side by side with our cities, businesses, and residents to identify needs and aspirations. With your help we can continue to shine a light on the outstanding careers and opportunities right in our own backyard.
