No-Cost EV & Clean Tech Training for Automotive Employers
South County EDC is helping connect eligible automotive employers with no-cost EV and Clean Technology training for existing technicians through a partnership with Southwestern College and the California Employment Training Panel.
Helping Employers Prepare for the Future of Automotive Service
The transition to electric and hybrid vehicles is creating new workforce needs for dealerships, service shops, fleet operators, and transportation employers. As more vehicles rely on advanced electric and clean technology systems, employers need trained technicians who can service them safely and efficiently.
This program is designed to help eligible employers upskill their current workforce, strengthen service operations, and prepare for growing EV demand.

Who Should Sign Up?
This opportunity is designed for employers, including new vehicle dealerships, independent repair facilities, fleet operators, municipal fleet departments, truck and commercial vehicle service providers, and automotive service organizations. Individual technicians cannot enroll directly, but they are encouraged to share this opportunity with their employer.

The EV & Clean Tech Training program is offered through a partnership between the South County Economic Development Council, Southwestern College, and the California Employment Training Panel.
Together, the program supports workforce development, employer readiness, and the growth of clean transportation skills across the region.
