The Imperial Beach Pier is being spruced up in a $2 million project that builds on improvements made to the pier last year in a joint venture by the Port of San Diego and the City of Imperial Beach. Wyyerd Fiber, a fiber-to-the-premise Internet Services Provider (ISP), has launched service in two anchor communities, Chula Vista and National City. Wyyerd offers a full suite of services for residences, businesses, enterprises, carriers, and non-profit partners including government and education entities. The opening of its new regional headquarters in National City has created jobs for over 100 San Diego residents in fields including construction, customer service, sales and management.
