October 2nd will mark an interesting change in program for the South County EDC, as we launch our Virtual Economic Summit. In the past we have been able to bring together 600 of the people who make the community tick at the San Diego Convention Center. This year to ensure everyone’s safety we have moved the program online but not without acquiring the tools to present you with even greater opportunity to interact with leaders from around the County.
This year we will be using a software which will enable not only live and recorded presentations but also direct interactivity with an amazing array of speakers. Through our virtually curated question and answer program you will have opportunities to get the answers you seek. Our keynote address will be given by Lieutenant Governor Eleni Kounalakis who is eager to interact with business leaders in San Diego. Additionally, our panels will focus on forecasts of the general economy, real estate, health and safety, the new USMCA impacts, and how to work with the military.
In addition to being able to interact with our speakers and presenters participants will have the ability to spend time with one another or share contact information for future meetings. We know many of you look forward to meeting counterparts through programs such as the Economic Summit and our goal is to provide those opportunities. Starting in September registered participants will have the opportunity to build their profile and create interactive possibilities.
The program for the Economic Summit will begin at 9 AM with welcome addresses from Mayor Faulconer and Supervisor Cox and warp up at 1:30 PM with recognition of those who have helped shape the community we al know and love. Due to the ongoing pandemic our sponsors and board of directors have helped us provide this content to you free of charge.
