SCEDC Young Entrepreneurs Academy

The Young Entrepreneur Academy is an innovative program that provides young people with the tools and resources they need to start and run their own businesses. The program is designed to inspire and empower the next generation of entrepreneurs by teaching them valuable skills such as marketing, finance, and leadership.  

South County EDC is a non-profit business organization that partners with California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC)  to offer support to the manufacturing companies in South San Diego County.  

Zero Cost Assistance program

The South County Economic Development Council is offering valuable assistance to local manufacturers by providing access to various resources at no cost. These resources include wage subsidies, workforce development programs, operational assistance, and more.

During our January 12th Board of Director Meeting we heard from Executive Director Hasan Ikharta of SANDAG and team.  The presentation touched on the long-term strategies and focuses of the regional organization.  Outlining of the 5 Big Moves allowed all involved to see and better understand our regional transportation vision. SANDAG introduced a transformative vision for transportation in San Diego County that completely reimagines how people and goods could move throughout the region in the 21st century.

After a sluggish start to San Diego County’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout, the region has received 173,000 doses over the past few days, coinciding with the launch of a mass inoculation site in Chula Vista on Thursday.
