The Young Entrepreneur Academy is an innovative program that provides young people with the tools and resources they need to start and run their own businesses. The program is designed to inspire and empower the next generation of entrepreneurs by teaching them valuable skills such as marketing, finance, and leadership.

SCEDC South County San Diego Economic Summit

South County EDC is a non-profit business organization that partners with California Manufacturing Technology Consulting (CMTC)  to offer support to the manufacturing companies in South San Diego County.  

Zero Cost Assistance program

The South County Economic Development Council is offering valuable assistance to local manufacturers by providing access to various resources at no cost. These resources include wage subsidies, workforce development programs, operational assistance, and more.

October 2nd will mark an interesting change in program for the South County EDC, as we launch our Virtual Economic Summit. In the past we have been able to bring together 600 of the people who make the community tick at the San Diego Convention Center. It is amazing to think it is coming up on five months since first joining the South County Economic Development Council. In that time, it has been challenging and tremendously rewarding to work with our businesses and community partners. There has been no shortage of opportunity to engage even in a time when it is impossible to do business as normal. In fact, it is the lack of normalcy which has presented the most amazing



The South County Economic Development Council is excited to announce our newest partner California Manufacturing Technology Consulting. Over the next nine months we will work together to perform much needed outreach to the manufacturing sector here in South County San Diego. The outreach will focus on assisting manufacturers prevent, prepare, and respond to the COVID-19 Pandemic. This program is in conjunction with the US Department of Commerce and the National Institute of Standards and Technology.
